About Us

Love Street Tattoo opened in 2019 at number seven, Cloverdale. Thirteen artists work here now and they all do different things: traditional, black and grey, fine line, colour, big cover-ups. Nobody is good at everything, which is why we match you to whoever's work actually suits your idea rather than whoever happens to be free that week.

A while later we opened the cafe two doors up at number nine. It started because people were sitting through four hour sessions with nothing to eat. It's a proper coffee shop now, open from 6:30, whether you're getting tattooed or not.

What it's like to walk in

Quieter than most people expect. Nobody here is going to make you feel silly for not knowing what you want, for changing your mind halfway through, or for asking what something costs before you commit to it.

Plenty of people come in for their first tattoo and say so at the counter. That's the easiest conversation we have all day. Tell us, and we'll put you with someone who's brilliant with nervous people.

You don't need a deposit to ask a question. Send a request, we come back with a real price, a couple of times and the artist we think fits, and nothing gets locked in until you say yes.

Away from the shop

We take the whole setup on the road for weddings, engagements and birthdays: flash tattoos on the day, artists and gear brought to you. We run flash days through the year and have guest artists in regularly. Both go up on the Flash Events page and on Instagram first.
